Who is Mike Malloy?
About Mike MalloyBorn in Chicago in 1948 has lived in New Mexico since 1987. The following year he established his residence in District 31, Precinct 566. Mike and his wife Susan of forty years have been blessed with two children, his daughter lost a courageous battle to cancer at an early age and his son is a practicing attorney.
Upon graduation from high school he obtained a Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering from Michigan Technological University. Currently he is a Registered Professional Engineer in New Mexico and seven other states. He started working for Gannett Fleming in 1970 after forty years he currently serves a President of Gannett Fleming West, Inc.
While being active in his engineering profession, he has also found time to serve as President with the New Mexico Public Works Association and both the Albuquerque and New Mexico Society of Professional Engineers Associations. He is also a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers. Is a Board of Directors of the American Council of Engineering Companies of New Mexico and the American Road and Transportation Builders Association.
Community Activities
In 1988 he became involved with MATHCOUNTS a program which inspires confidence among middle school students. This program has afforded an experience for him to be involved in helping to provide a foundation for students to become involved in science, technology, engineering and math careers.
For the last five years he donated time to serve as a judge for 4-H Clubs.
For a number of years he has served as an instructor for the Pubic Works Association.
